Based at our Welshpool Head Office, Invertek Drives are seeking to appoint an Embedded C Development Engineer, working as part of the Innovation team.Key Responsibilities will include: Development of Embedded Industrial communication interface modules; concentrating on software development, test, and certification; Help define hardware and firmware architecture; Maintain products through various stages of their lifecycle; Develop a strong understanding of the systems we use and learn new technologies to help advance our applications.Essential Requirements: A degree in relevant Software or Electronics discipline; Strong Embedded C Programming skills (MISRA, Secure coding practices etc); Experience with V-Cycle and Agile Development methodologies; Experience with version control software; Good communication and teamworking skills.Advantage to have: Familiarity with C# programming for development of support and test tools; Familiarity with Serial communication protocols (Modbus RTU), USB and Bluetooth; Familiarity with Industrial Communication Protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT etc); Familiarity with PLC programming (CoDeSys, Rockwell, Siemens).Invertek is offering a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience.Apply to: Ruth Williams - HR Manager, Invertek Drives Ltd, Offa’s Dyke Business Park, Welshpool, Powys, SY21 8JF or email ruth.williams@shi-g.com.
