Purpose and Scope of Job:

Responsible for directing the Quality Control and Quality Assurance systems and activities throughout all SMA regions.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

• Guide the development and control of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Quality Management System.
• Manage the change control system.
• Perform Quality Risk Assessments.
• Manage Supplier Quality performance and improvement.
• Manage Root Cause Analysis and Corrective actions.
• Manage the development and execution of Quality inspections and audits.
• Provide approval for final audit reports and follow-ups to open items discovered during audits.
• Create a culture that promotes problem solving and continuous improvement by providing guidance and direction.
• Provide direction for Customer warranties.
• Establish positive relationships with SMA Customers with the spirit of “Customer First” and “Unmatched Customer Experience”.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Business, or Science discipline.
• Ten (10) years of quality management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• LSS Black Belt Certification with practical experience with manufacturing processes, techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, 8D Methodology, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create positive customer and supplier relationships.
• Strong problem solving and organization skills.
• Strong leadership skills, analytical and detail oriented, decisive, and possesses sound judgment.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be a participative team member.
