Purpose and Scope of Job:

Primarily responsible for directing the accounting and control functions of foreign subsidiaries to include: Providing financial analysis of business units, supporting the development of budgets and forecasts, fulfilling all statutory reporting requirements, and supporting the Executive Management staff in directing financial decision making.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

  • Manage and lead the daily activity and operation of accounting.
  • Lead the monthly closing process to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
  • Review of the general ledgers and balance sheets for accuracy, maintain the chart of accounts.
  • Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledgers account balances, including bank account reconciliation.
  • Investigate, recommend, and implement accounting system or procedural changes that provide more accurate financial data.
  • Prepare financials statements to include income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Participate in the financial analysis and reporting activities, including monthly reports and variance analysis, and forecasting to provide insights on business performance and support decision-making processes.
  • Daily and monthly cashflow management and forecast.
  • Manage fixed asset and lease process, policy and procedures.
  • Assist in tax provision and tax compliance processes.
  • Manage Sales Tax policy and procedures, filing monthly, quarterly and annually sales, states and sales taxes.
  • Assist with reviews and audits conducted by both external and internal auditing agencies.
  • Participate in the preparation of budgets and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justifications.
  • Manage and lead the daily operation of Accounting team members.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance to identify opportunities for process improvement. Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing projects aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance or equivalent experience. Masters Degree is Preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
  • Six (6) years accounting experience in medium to large corporation.
  • Three (3) years of management experience or experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting systems.
  • Demonstrate high level of work ethic, honesty and integrity in all financial activities.
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey information in a confident manner.
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to prepare reports/run queries with minimal error.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
  • Previous work experience with an international organization is preferred.
