Purpose and Scope of Job:
The product champion and advocate for the assigned product(s). Primarily responsible for product planning and execution of market strategies throughout the product lifecycle including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements. Includes executing the product vision; identifying opportunities to improve performance of the product portfolio by working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support groups to ensure revenue, profit and customer satisfaction goals are met
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):
Perform segmentation analysis of target industries.
• Perform cost analysis of product lines, their components and accessories.
• Monitor competition and market level pricing.
• Analyze specific projects and opportunities utilizing marketing tools and fundamentals.
• Perform price administration for the product line.
• Execute comprehensive marketing plans based on identified opportunities.
o Work with internal Industry Managers on targeted marketing programs.
• Implement product launch strategies and successfully manage the product launch.
• Summarize marketing plans and results through reports and presentations.
• Serve as a lead contributor for product or market specific enhancements, while complying with SMA Market Review Development Policies.
• Engage with key customers.
o Periodic customer visits.
• Participate in industry related trade events.
• Develop and conduct product training aimed at internal and external customers.
• Able to support sales efforts with in-depth product knowledge.
