Purpose and Scope of Job:

As a CNC Apprentice, you'll engage in a range of tasks and training related to CNC and manual machining. This role aligns with Virginia's Registered Apprenticeship Program standards, covering areas such as Mechatronics Technician, Tool and Die Maker, and CNC Machinist.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

To succeed in this role, you must be able to perform the following essential functions, either independently or with reasonable accommodation:

• Acquire knowledge of departmental procedures, including machine operation, quality standards, and departmental goals.
• Learn blueprint reading, specifications interpretation, and mathematical concepts applicable to departmental tasks.
• Effectively communicate acquired knowledge through written assignments, interviews, and oral reports.
• Engage in assigned projects, either individual tasks to demonstrate proficiency or departmental projects for skill enhancement.
• Complete required coursework outside of regular work hours as mandated by the Program.

Duties are performed in an industrial environment.
